On Tuesday, the suspense will finally be over for some 26,000 students who took part in the Certificate of Primary Education (CPE) examinations this year, as the results will be announced.

The slips were printed on Saturday and the representatives of the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate preparing the envelopes containing the results to remit to the headmasters.

Headmasters will have to collect the result slips at the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate (MES) from 6 am.

The results will be available from 9 am to 3 pm in the schools in Mauritius, Rodrigues as well as Agalega.

Parents wishing to admit their children in any college of the Bureau d’Education catholique (BEC) will be received on the following day of the announcement of the results.

Parents whose children’s names begin with the letters A to L are required to go to the BEC colleges from 9 am to 11 am.

While for the rest, it will be from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm on Wednesday.

On the other hand, private candidates will obtain their result slips by courier.

CPE student, Lovin Bisoon said he was a little stressed is optimistic about his results.

“I expect to have satisfactory results on the whole. I think that I have worked well, however I am a little scared about my History and Geography papers,” said Bisoon. .
The CPE examinations took place from October 18 to 21. In Mauritius, 26,078 students took part in the exams including 13,205 boys and 11,762 girls while in Rodrigues, there were 589 boys and 522 girls.

The number of private candidates stood at to 2,628.

An important development is expected in the education system with the national forum which will be held on December 19 to discuss the reforms necessary at CPE level.
