Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) announced on Tuesday its selection of the Oracle E-Business Suite Human Resources Management System (HRMS) Release 11.5.10 to improve operational efficiency in human resources.

“The HRMS solution has facilitated the transition from a transactional HR to a transformational one, automating the bank’s HR administrative tasks through customised workflows and empowerment of the staff,” said David Legrigore, HR Projects and Systems Manager at the MCB.

Oracle certified partner POPAY was instrumental in the success of the project, providing consultancy and managing the implementation of HRMS solution over all three phases as well as training to MCB HR super-users and internal IT team. “The implementation was done efficiently enabling completion of the first phase in six months.

The interaction between Popay and our team has been very professional,” said Joyce Clever-Aglar, HR project coordinator at the MCB.

“The relationship with the MCB is great demonstration of how Oracle E-Business Suite and HRMS help firms to be successful in all aspects of employee management, whilst also increasing efficiencies and organisational performance,” said Fanie Minne, territory manager for Oracle.

Another key success factor was MCB’s resolve to avoid customisations and fully leverage standard HRMS capabilities to support its HR business proce-sses, said Pierre Lamboray, representative of POPAY.

The system helps organisations unlock the full value of a workforce by putting the right people in the right jobs, developing and rewarding top performers, retaining key talent for the long term and increasing efficiency.
