This is a good and rare opportunity for Mauritius. Research is an important as pect of eduaction and learning in professional/subject expertise. With this opportunity, Research and innovative teaching/learning should be inculcated at every level of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary education. Children should be taught research skills right from childhood through conduct of little intersting surveys, secondary school students too from their own level and ideas sought what good learning is all about. I would expect to see also input from learners view points about learning in the ICL. Let’s hope there’ll be some.Hope that the ICL extracts are publicised in the UoM data base, accessible by Mauritians to read. Perhaps tehre is also need for the availability of the learning journals in Mauritius.

Well done Mauritius and UoM.Congratulations for hosting this important event.

    Hi!
I was there for the Conference and I must tell you that it was a really very fruitful and rich in experience. Hope that the Mauritian authorities,in particular, would have gained and learnt something from it, as the system has become so archaic! A handful of politicians and other boot-lickers cannot decide on the fate of a whole nation. Well done to the organisers.
