Seven dead in road mishaps this week

The roads have turned killers in the past one week. Since July 24, there have been seven deaths due to road accidents including one of a seven year old who was hit by a 4x4 on Thursday at Piton.

Ministry of Health and Quality of Life representative Dr Ahad Abdool said that the number of people visiting the island’s hospitals has significantly decreased over the past two weeks. Abdool, who was speaking at a press conference on Friday, said that the number of people showing signs of flu has fallen from 7,000 in June to 2,600 now.
